With TV show's help, Roxbury family is 'raising the roof'

Last spring, Levi’s parents thought long and hard about installing a handicap accessible addition in their home in order to accommodate their son’s needs. They had already done extensive renovations to the ranch house in which they live, but a second floor addition would free up space on the main level for Levi to use his walker, braces and wheelchair with more ease. They also wanted to create a handicap accessible bathroom for him too.
In order to help raise funds for the project, they started up a fundraiser called “Raising the Roof for Levi,” with a goal of raising $100,000 for the project. Through Friday, Jan. 27, they have raised $53,170.
